Mental Health Services
Course Description: Mental Health Services explores, in detail, options for mental health care treatment and related services so that you can determine which options will best serve your clients. We’ll discuss psychiatric emergency screening services, assertive community treatment, integrated case management, and both outpatient and inpatient treatment options. Residential treatment options for those in need of therapeutic housing are reviewed. Consideration is given to service programs for special populations including the homeless, veterans, and the mentally ill who may be eligible for jail diversion programs. Special emphasis is placed on servicing clients with co-occurring disorders.
