Alcohol, Sedative and Hallucinogens
Course Description: This course covers the history of alcohol, sedative and hallucinogen use. Then each drug category is discussed in detail identifying the types and names of drugs in each group; the effects they have on our bodies, mind and behavior. Dependence, tolerance, drug withdrawal and detoxification are also discussed. The course is designed to help the student acquire an understanding of the history of alcohol and sedative use as well as how to identify the types and effects of sedative substances.
