Will my computer work with the Wellspring Online Training Program?
The Wellspring online training courses will run on most computers with Internet access, a browser, and Adobe Flash. For specific requirements, visit technical support
Is there a pretest that I have to take?
No, the pretest is no longer required before you begin each course. The only test that you will take is the posttest, which is done after you complete the course.
How many times can I take the posttest?
The posttest should be taken after you complete the course. If you do not receive a passing grade of 70% on the posttest, you will have the opportunity to re-take it. In order to re-take the test, submit a support request
from the technical support page.
How long will I have to take the course and how many times can I access it?
When you purchase a course you will have three months to complete the course. During that time you can access the course as often as you'd like. All courses are available 24/7 from any computer having internet access.
Can I print the course?
No, you cannot easily print a copy of the entire course; however, you can print the course outline and domain-level glossary.
Can I print a certificate for the course?
Yes. In order to get your certificate for a course, you must first complete the course, test, and course rating. After you complete those three items, you will be able to print and/or download a certificate of completion. This will only be available if you receive a score of 70 or more on the course post test.
To print the certificate: log in, select the course, go to the course page, then click on the 'Print Certificate' link. You will be given instructions on printing or downloading your certificate. After you read the instructions click on the 'Print Certificate' button. This certificate will serve as a permanent record of your completion of the course.
How long will it take me to complete each course?
The amount of time that it takes each student to complete each course will vary based on a few factors, including the speed of the computer the student is using and the speed at which the student reads and absorbs the information presented. Additionally, the course length itself varies from course to course. The average length of time per course is is 2-4 hours. Keep in mind, although the seat time for a course (the amount of time it takes to complete a course) may be three hours, that is equivalent to six classroom hours towards initial licensing or renewal.
I finished taking the course, but forgot to print the course certificate. What do I do?
You can print a certificate of completion at any time—even after your course has expired. Before you can print your certificate, you must fulfill these requirements:
- Confirm that you've completed the course. This is done on the last page of each course.
- Complete the posttest with a score of 70 or more.
- Complete the course rating.
To print the certificate you must first log into the training system. If the course has expired you will see a 'Print Certificate' icon beside the course. Click on the icon. If the course has not expired select the course, go to the course page, then click on the 'Print Certificate' link.
You will be given instructions on printing or downloading your certificate. After you read the instructions, click on the 'Print Certificate' button. This certificate will serve as a permanent record of your completion of the course.
I can't remember my password.
If you cannot remember your password for the training, go to the course login
page. On that page, below the login button you will see a link 'Forgot your password?' Click on this link and you will be taken to a page where you should enter your email address that you used to purchase the online training. Your password will be sent to that email address automatically.
NOTE: If you do not receive the email notification, be sure to check your spam folder.
I can't remember how to access the training and can't find my email with the information.

I just started the course and I don't see the Previous or Next buttons at the bottom right corner of the window. What do I do?
If you don't see the previous and next buttons used to navigate through the course, place your cursor on top of the course title in the gray bar at the top of the course. CLICK on the gray bar over the course title, and then the course window will automatically be sized to match your monitor. You will be able to see the Previous and Next buttons to navigate through the course.
How do I get a receipt for my course purchase?
After your purchase, PayPal will automatically send you a receipt for your order. If you need a receipt at a later point in time, you can simply go to PayPal
and login. View your transactions and look for the transaction for which you need a receipt. Click on 'details' for the course purchased, and you will be sent to a page with the transaction details. From there, you can simply print the page.

Do you offer scholarships?

I can't find a course that I need; can you recommend other CADC/LCADC providers in New Jersey?
All 270 hours of addiction-specific training required as part of the initial Licensure and Certification process by NAADAC and the IC&RC (including the New Jersey Certification Board) is available through our site. If you are looking for a topic not listed in the course catalog

Will these courses count toward the education requirements in my state?
Each state board has its own rules related to online or distance learning, so check with your local board regarding what percentage of your coursework can be taken online. On average, states allow 50% online training toward initial credentialing requirements and most states allow 100% of continuing education to be taken online. How can I correct my name on the course certificate?
In order to change or correct your name on the course certificate, login to the training system. After you login, you will see your name at the top of the page. Click on yoru name and then select Update Profile.
